  • How much does eMeasure cost?

    eMeasure usually costs £850 to purchase outright. However, at the moment we are running a promotion and eMeasure is only £575. That’s a saving of £275.

    Our annual maintenance is part of this promotion and is only £103 instead of £153 per year. Maintenance includes all email support and new releases. As part of our promo we also have promo codes that will give you annual maintenance for free. Look out for those or contact us for more information.

    You can also rent eMeasure per month with no minimum commitment period. The price is only £34.50 per month and includes maintenance as part of the price.

  • That’s pretty cheap! But hang on, if you’re cheaper than other products out there, does that mean you aren’t as good?

    Quite the opposite! eMeasure is developed by a world-leading software group that has been doing takeoff for over a decade. eMeasure is the latest product specially designed to be easier to use but still using our proven takeoff engine. That’s why we are able to offer it at such a great price.

  • If I’m renting do I have to pay for maintenance?

    No, maintenance is included in the rental price. If you have any problems we can help you with while you are renting contact support here.

  • Can you tell me more about what maintenance includes?

    Sure! As mentioned, maintenance includes all email support as well as all new releases of the product. As noted above, maintenance is included at no charge with rental licenses.

    For support, this means you’ll have access to our worldwide support team. You can contact support here and one of our technicians can help you out.

    For new releases, this means that you’ll be able to continually ensure that your copy of eMeasure is the most up-to-date available, as we are constantly striving to improve our products with the latest in industry developments. You can easily make sure your copy of eMeasure is on the latest version by logging into the User Portal and checking if there is an update available.

  • Is maintenance compulsory?

    Maintenance is not compulsory! So you can definitely still use eMeasure if you choose not to pay the maintenance fee. Just keep in mind that there may be some situations you come across where having maintenance is beneficial- such as no compatibility issues when sharing files with someone who is using a newer version, being able to support the latest drawing files, and ensuring that if your computer crashes, the support team can help you reinstall the program on a new computer straight away.

  • If I choose to pay maintenance for the first year, am I tied into paying maintenance forever?

    Nope! Each year, when your maintenance is coming up to expire, we’ll remind you. If you don’t want to continue with maintenance, simply let us know and there’s no penalties and nothing more to pay. We won’t charge you any additional maintenance fees without getting your confirmation that you wish to continue.

  • If I don’t sign up for maintenance, is it possible to get back onto maintenance later?

    Yes, you can sign up for maintenance at any time by logging into your User Portal here and clicking ’Add Maintenance’ and following the prompts. It is important to note though, that if you do choose to go back onto maintenance at any time, you will also need to pay the backdated maintenance plus a small penalty fee (calculated at 2% of the purchase price per lapsed month). This is in place to ensure that customers who stay on maintenance aren’t at a disadvantage.

  • Can I choose a smaller increment of maintenance instead of one year, such as six months?

    Maintenance is only available to purchase as an annual subscription, so in increments of 12 months.

  • Are there any resources available for Support/Training if I’m not under maintenance?

    Yep, we have several free resources available to help! Access comprehensive Training Videos on our Training Videos page and thorough documentation (from our simple Getting Started Guide to the full User Manual and Training Exercises) on our Documentation page. And of course there is our FAQ page right here – all provided at no charge.


  • How can I get eMeasure then? I need it now!

    No worries- You can get your free trial right now- just click here! You’ll be asked to enter details to set up an account. Then, you’ll have the details of your eMeasure licence waiting in your inbox. The email will come from so make sure this has been whitelisted by your email provider! Check your Junk Mail as well just in case. If you don’t receive an email within one hour of making the purchase, please contact Support. Once your free trial is expired, you can purchase or rent eMeasure.

  • What currencies do you sell in?

    We currently sell in USD and GBP only. For USD pricing, go to

  • What offers the best value for me- rental or purchase?

    This best value really depends on your own circumstances. If you believe you will need to use eMeasure consistently for over 6 months per year, then you should consider purchasing your copy of eMeasure outright.

    However if your current work schedule is unpredictable then the monthly rental option can provide peace of mind and flexibility.

    Ultimately if your situation changes from unpredictable to consistent, you can always contact us to enquire about upgrading from a rental to a purchase licence.

  • Can I have a combination of purchase and rental licences?

    Yes, that is not a problem at all.

  • Can I upgrade from a rental licence to a purchase licence?

    Yes you can. Contact sales here and will we provide a quote to do this. We will credit 50% of all your rental spending towards a purchase licence that you will own forever. We cap rental credit at 50% of the purchase price.

  • I have a legacy licence – can I upgrade to a current rental?

  • When renting eMeasure, what is the difference between manual and recurring payments?

    Manual payments are payments that you make as-you-go. They will not happen unless you login to your account and manually make a payment.

    Recurring payments will deduct the monthly rental total from your payment method at the same time each month. It is important to make sure that you have the balance required in your account otherwise the payment will be rejected and you may not be able to use eMeasure.

    You can change payments from manual to automatic simply by selecting the automatic payment option at the time of your next payment. If you wish to change from automatic to manual please contact our sales team here.

  • Once my trials expires, how do I purchase or rent eMeasure?

    Good question. Simply log in to your account here using the email address and password you signed up with. You can rent eMeasure by clicking on the button Start Rental which is on the same line as your trial licence details. Follow the on-screen directions from there and you can be renting in no time at all!

    If you want to purchase eMeasure, click on the button Add New Licences and follow the on-screen directions to confirm your purchase.

    You will need to replace your trial serial with the purchase serial. Everything you need to know will be in the installation instructions that are sent to you after the purchase is completed.

  • I have a promotional code, how do I use it?

    If you have a promotional code and entered it into the sign-up form it will be applied automatically for any applicable purchases you make. Rentals do not accept promo codes.

    When you make a purchase you should see the promo code discount or offer in the tabulation. If you do not there is a tick box titled ‘I have a promo code’ that will let you re-enter it.

    If you are not sure if you have a promo code simply contact our sales team here and we can check for you.

  • What payment methods are available?

    You can either pay via PayPal or via your own credit card. Once you’ve clicked through to Buy Now, you’ll be asked to enter details to set up an account. Then, you will be taken through to our payment portal. This is run via PayPal, but a PayPal account is not required- you can still use a credit card in the normal way. Just click on the “Check out as Guest” or “Pay with Debit/Credit Card” options (whichever one is showing). All major credit cards are accepted. Alternatively, if you do want to use your PayPal account, click on the ‘Log In’ option. Please note eMeasure can never access any of your credit card details.

  • How do I buy more licences for others in my company?

    Log into the User Portal, then click on the button along the top that reads ‘Add More Licences’.

  • What file formats do you guys support?

    We support PDF, JPG, TIFF, PNG, DWG, DXF, DWF, DWFX, DGN, JPEG, TIF, GIF, BMP. Plus, while many programs convert all files to an image format such as TIF, we keep the drawing in its native format and use the individual elements in the drawing to make your takeoff faster!

  • Do you work with metric or imperial measurement?

    Both are supported in eMeasure.

  • How can I learn more about all eMeasure features available?

  • Can I use it on my tablet or phone? Do you have an internet version?

    Because we want eMeasure to be the most affordable product possible, we only offer it as a standalone version on your computer.

  • What about on my Mac?

    You can definitely still use eMeasure on an Apple computer. Just make sure that Windows is installed, which can easily be done using Bootcamp, Parallels or VMWare. You’ll also need Windows Excel® installed for the Excel® add-in (It’s not compatible with the Apple version of Excel®).   • Does eMeasure come with a copy of Excel®?

    eMeasure includes our takeoff and an Excel® add-in, but you must already have Microsoft Excel® installed on your computer to be able to use the add-in. It’s not included with our program. Please note, while there are many other spreadsheet programs out there, eMeasure is only compatible with Microsoft Excel® at this time.

  • Can I use the program if I don’t have Excel®?

    You can certainly use the takeoff side of eMeasure if you don’t have Excel® on your computer, which will allow you to takeoff all your quantities. However, you won’t be able to use the Excel® add-in with live-links to the takeoff. So, in order to fully experience the power of eMeasure, Excel® is recommended.

  • What happens if my anti-virus or firewall blocks eMeasure?

    eMeasure is safe to download onto your computer, and we have taken steps to ensure that the product is able to download without interference from firewall or anti-virus programs. However if you do get a notification that is preventing eMeasure from installing or starting, please contact our support here and we will guide you through how to resolve this issue.

  • If I use eMeasure, do you have access to my plans or costing data? I don’t want my confidential data viewed.

    We do not have the ability to view any users plans or costing data, and so there is no chance that it can be accessed by us. So worry not!

  • What’s the best specs for using eMeasure?

    Your modern hardware should handle the job easily but it really depends on the drawings you work with. Supported operating systems include Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. If you’d like our System Requirements document, you can view it here.

  • I’m not so good with computers, is eMeasure going to be too advanced for me?

    It shouldn’t be! eMeasure is designed to be extremely simple to use, with no tricky parts. Remember, we have easy to follow training videos and 24 hour support to help you get comfortable with using eMeasure as quickly as possible.

  • If I’ve purchased and installed eMeasure, how can I move it to another computer?

    No problem – you get a free licence transfer every six months! Firstly, make sure you export all your projects from the existing licence and store them somewhere safe. On the new computer, simply install the program again using the download instructions you were first sent. Once you activate the licence using your existing serial number, you can start using on the new computer and import all your projects again! Note that you will no longer be able to access the old version on the original computer.

    If you need to move more than once in six months, you will need to be under our maintenance program. The cost is just £153 per year. To sign up, just log into the User Portal and click on ‘Add Maintenance’.

  • How do I export or import a project?

    To export an eMeasure project, make sure the required project is open then click on the File tab in eMeasure and then select ‘Export Project’. Choose a name and Save it to a safe location. This creates an EMR file.

    To import an EMR file (eMeasure project) into eMeasure, open eMeasure and then click on the File tab and select ‘Import Project’. Select the file and press ‘Open’. An Import Complete message will display. Click OK.

    You may have to remap your drawings if they are not accessible from the same location as the old computer. Firstly, make sure you have the drawings accessible (preferably all in the same folder), then open the Project Properties in the File Tab. Click the ellipsis (three dots) button next to the Base Drawing Path and choose the appropriate folder. Then Press OK. If when you try to open a drawing you receive a message noting eMeasure is unable to open the drawing, click OK and a box will open to enable you to map the new file path.
